Mortgage Firm Tracks Performance & Saves Time with Custom Web Application
When a local mortgage specialty firm with multiple locations in Louisiana realized that its current reporting system had become time-consuming and cumbersome, it turned to Teknarus for a solution. The company had been utilizing Excel spreadsheets to track the daily activities of its consultants. At the end of each month, the consultants would forward their spreadsheets to a central location for the time-intensive process of compiling the information for reporting purposes. Teknarus developed and implemented a custom web application that captures the daily activity of each consultant and provides real-time reporting and tracking. Not only has this solution eliminated the time-consuming chore of compiling daily and monthly reports, it also: tracks employee performance, including commissions to be paid; tracks the effectiveness of marketing programs and promotions; allows for lender volume reporting; and provides a performance dashboard with graphical representation of key business indicators.
Custom Accounting Software Saves Company Hours on Daily Tasks
As businesses grow and evolve, existing software packages often fail to keep up, resulting in wasted time and an inability to access critical information when it’s needed. For one grocery manufacturing and direct store delivery company, the growth of the company resulted in a system that was inflexible, difficult to use, and unable to handle the company’s daily transaction volume. After determining that other existing software options would be too expensive to purchase, implement, and maintain, Teknarus designed a custom accounting software package to meet the company’s diverse needs. We began by interviewing the company’s operations staff to fully understand the business processes and the desired outcomes. Based on this information, we designed an accounting system with the end users in mind. The new system, named “Phoenix,” went live on December 1, 2003. Phoenix has produced a remarkable increase in efficiency and productivity for the company.

A national law firm needed a website that included far more than just a description of the firm and its services. Teknarus worked with the law firm’s web design team to develop a robust website that can be fully customized by the firm’s site administrators at any time. In addition to public access pages which describe the firm and its lawyers, the site also offers: a secured content area reserved for retainer clients, who are given unique login ID’s to access the area; a traditional shopping catalog with user accounts, shopping cart, and secured on-line checkout; a searchable online knowledgebase of articles which can be edited by the firm, and can include attached documents and files, all of which are capable of being transmitted via email; and an online newsletter feature which allows the firm’s public relations department to upload published newsletters, which can then be viewed online by clients.
